Augmentin Duo Forte, is a combination of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic that kills the bacterial infection causing your skin infection called, which is a bacterial infection of the skin caused by bacteria called Helicobacter pylori and Staphylococcus aureus. Clavulanic Acid (C) is an antibiotic that stops the bacteria from making itself in your body. This antibiotic helps to reduce the damage to your skin and it works for about 7 days after you start taking Augmentin Duo Forte. This medicine is also used to reduce the chances of skin infection caused by H. pylori bacteria in children. You should take Augmentin Duo Forte 1gm (2.5mg/5ml) every 8-10 days. This medicine should be used along with a healthy diet and exercise. Take Augmentin Duo Forte 1gm at the same time each day to get the most benefit. Do not take it more often than every 8-10 days. Take Augmentin Duo Forte 2-3x per day (every 8-12 hours) as prescribed. Do not stop taking Augmentin Duo Forte 2-3x per day. Augmentin Duo Forte 1gm, 2.5mg, 5mg and 10mg tablets can be taken every 8-12 hours. The daily dose is one 500mg tablet taken with or without food. You should take this medicine at the same time every day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
